We put a CCTV camera down the drain before we recommend anything. That way we can see exactly what the problem is. Maybe it is a fat blockage that needs jetting. Maybe tree roots have cracked a pipe joint. Maybe a section has collapsed entirely. The camera shows us, and it shows you.

For blockages we use high pressure water jetting, which clears grease, scale and roots far more effectively than old fashioned rodding. If the pipe itself is damaged, we dig it up and replace it. Where conditions allow, we can also reline pipes from the inside without any excavation at all.

How do I know if my drain is blocked?

Slow draining sinks and baths. Gurgling sounds from plugholes. Bad smells coming from drains, especially when it rains. Water pooling around outside drain covers. Any of those and it is worth getting it looked at.

What is a CCTV drain survey?

We push a small camera on a flexible rod through the drain. It records footage of the whole pipe system so we can see exactly where problems are. Blockages, cracks, root damage, collapses.

Can you fix a collapsed drain?

Yes. We excavate and replace the broken section. If the pipe is accessible and the damage is limited, we can sometimes reline it from the inside instead, which avoids digging up your garden or driveway.
